It all started with an idea, and TikTok sensation Logan Paluzzi better known online by his TikTok handle ,youngschnoz, had a great one. Logan took some time out of his day to hop on Zoom and chat with me about his idea, how he executed it and his future plans.
In a town just outside Pittsburg Pennsylvania Logan watched a suggested Youtube video from Ted. The Ted talk featured a story of how a guy traded a single red paper clip all the way up to a house. Logan thought nothing of the video till a while later when he was playing video games with his friends. He says the idea just clicked he was going to trade a piece of paper all the way to a new car.
Logan has titled his venture “Project Simp”, He posted the first video in this series on March 26th with just a piece of paper with the word ‘SIMP’ written on it , which he revealed to me he didn’t even know the definition of the word simp* when he made the paper. He then posted the paper on eBay and Craigslist and a short while later he had plans to trade up his paper. He now has 9 parts in the series and 2 million people across the globe following along on his journey.
However due to COVID-19 Logan has had to up his game, since he was no longer able to meet up in person to trade, he is now trading everything through the mail. This could have been a setback but instead has allowed him to trade with people across the world including his 2 Million followers. He is currently working on his 8th trade up and is looking to make a deal with a high-profile creator that messaged him during our chat- trust me, you’ll want to see who messaged him its HUGE! Logan has traded his simple piece of paper all the way up to a 3000-dollar custom made pillow but that’s not the item he was tempted to keep, despite the large price tag. The item Logan really wanted to keep was a motor bike he received in one of his recent trade up, but he has stayed true to course and traded that up as well. You’ll have to stay tuned to his TikTok updates to see if he ever reaches his goal!
Logan is currently filming a new series called The Circle where he puts a group of people on a Zoom call and one person gets voted out each round. He is looking to move that series over from TikTok to Youtube to allow the video to be longer. He is also thinking of granting fans wishes of filming vlogs of what goes on behind the scenes of the trades and how he decides which offers to take. In the future Logan would like to be able to create content and comedy sketches with his friends for both TikTok and Youtube.
